KARINGAL HUB SHOPPING CENTRE

For the renovation and extension of Karingal Hub Shopping Centre, located south of Melbourne, I led the documentation phase for the interior works. I coordinated the interoperability of our 3D BIM model with other consultants, including another architectural firm responsible for the building envelope, and managed a team of four using ArchiCAD teamwork to deliver detailed tender documentation for a Design & Construct contract, with specifications minimising risks of substitutions post-novation.

During construction, which began amid the COVID-19 pandemic, I transitioned the team to remote work and oversaw the preparation of permit and construction documentation. When the client reduced the scope mid-project, I coordinated the necessary design changes despite pandemic constraints. The centre opened shortly after restrictions eased, with most new tenancies occupied and operational.
